ReplyDeleteI enjoy short punchy poems the most. Loving this. Shah. X
ReplyDeleteBlame destiny....that's all you can do :)
ReplyDeleteDestiny gets blamed for so many things... smiles. Nice write.
ReplyDeleteA direct summing up of loss and resignation--not sentimental, but plenty of feeling nonetheless.
ReplyDeletea sad place to be...and no matter who to blame..how did you manage to get so much sadness into such few lines...?
ReplyDeleteBlame destiny, now theres a thought. Another great poem, short but bitter-sweet.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when people say, "It was meant to be" - I sorta' get a bit agitated, because on the other hand, I'd like to think we make our own choices, our own paths, our own destinies. I also like to believe the quantum leap type of theory (or is it scientific) that we are doing 4 different endings to a story... ok.. this made me think WAY too much. ;)
ReplyDeleteDestiny, a good a reason as any. Nice write.
ReplyDeleteSometimes that's all one can do I suppose...facing our own hand in such devastation can be...unsettling.
ReplyDeleteTechnically speaking the - pauses- are perfectly placed/ I liked reading this. (poke)
ReplyDeleteoh yes, sometimes we just need to 'call it a day'!
